Brett Rory Lipman

Brett has over 10 year's business ownership and management experience. He is a true entrepreneur with an unquenched thirst for knowledge and a deep desire to surround himself with innovative thinkers and trendsetters.

He has a unique and innovative outlook on business in general and has always been enthusiastic for projects that are highly innovative and have the ability to stir mass appeal.

Brett possesses exceptional leadership qualities and plays a key role in each of his varied business activities. His creative mind and adaptable nature allow him to see and understand a broad spectrum, whilst never being afraid to learn or be taught something new.

He began his small event management and brand development business in 2000, after a meaningful gap year abroad. The company Talentattack was instrumental in setting the standard in experiential event production and had worked with many of the top brands around South Africa. Talentattack further progressed into public television by launching Talentattack TV Productions, beginning with the conceptualizing and producing of the SABC1 flagship reality show about entrepreneurship – Rize Mzansi which is currently in talks for the second series. A new TV show Countdown 2010, a magazine show about the 2010 world cup and its build-up, is currently on air and set to take the company to new heights. Brett sold his shares in Talent Attack TV Productions and turned his attention to black robot, a small but powerful advertising agency, black robot is based in Parktown North and is adding top accounts to its family at a rapid pace. With the recent launch of Black Robot TV, Brett has seen his passion for television once again.

Brett is an ultimate people's person and problem solver. Brand development and people management is his passion and has the ability and foresight to communicate each of his endeavours on a level that is meaningful, intimate and effective.

He is a true entrepreneur and is ready to leave his mark in this world.

The Creator

Andrew Moritz

Andrew Moritz has over 10 years experience in the print design world, along with retail, packaging and point of sale design. Leaving college in 1998, where he studied Graphic Design and Business Management as well as Photography, he landed a job at a small but experienced Advertising Agency in Johannesburg South Africa where he grew to be Studio Manager and Head Designer.

Andrew has worked on many different accounts from retail to FMCG and has an uncanny way of getting the right message across through visually stimulating and streamlined designs, which entice the viewer to engage in the product in whichever way necessary.

Delivering cutting edge and up to date design is something that Andrew strives for and words like attention to detail and perfection are key words in his vocabulary.

This experience gained has given Andrew a strong insight into how to build a brand and create creative campaigns that will push your brand to the next level.

Head Designer

Kirsten Douglas

Kirsten mostly manages the music in the studio. She always has to have music on when she is working (creativity and such), so she is always on the lookout for new music to add to the hectic pace and energy in the office. Note: The Drums are a favourite with the bosses.

Kirsten has her Honours in Graphic Design, and a couple of years experience in the industry. She is fairly quiet, tad cynical and has an eye for detail. Her strengths are editorial and packaging, and is trying her hand at some illustration too :). She takes her work seriously and brings a unique outlook and style to the table, every time!

The Designer

Yolandi Bezuidenhout

Yolandi is a strong willed, passionate, dependable and innovative character. Her interests and strengths lie in different areas, socially, and in her life as a graphic designer

She has a very poised and easy going nature and believes that she can do anything and everything she puts her mind to.

She has a degree in Graphic Design and in the development and learning curve/stage of her career. She intends to broaden her knowledge as a graphic designer in every aspect of design until she has achieved versatility and a degree of personal fulfilment to be the best she can be.

"Similar to your intestines ….they take the energy of different foods, something they need to survive, break it into constituent parts…then analyse those components recieved to see where and how they can be used to their full potential. Some will be stored for later use and some will be eliminated….the cycle of life through the eyes of design"

She is very observant and critical in her designs and will stick with something until it is finished.

Team Mascot

A robot is a virtual or mechanical artificial agent. In practice, it is usually an electro-mechanical machine which is guided by computer or electronic programming, and is thus able to do tasks on its own.

Another common characteristic is that by its appearance or movements, a robot often conveys a sense that it has intent or agency of its own.
